At the first creative instinct of Sahil Chalana, encouraged him to start getmyforms.in, a startup that provided assistance for online filling up of admission forms.

Unfortunately, this startup firm did not take off. But, the whole experience brought Mr. Chalana in close proximity to huge gap that existed between the available data about colleges and the quality of information as sought by the college aspirants.

He started Collegedunia with only five people, which has now grown into a hundred- employee team. This number is increasing with more experienced members joining the team. With time Collegedunia has realized the need of a product absolutely catering to the needs of the aspiring college candidates, their parents and peers.

Putting strenuous effort to maintain high standards in UI and UX, Collegedunia.com has seen a massive increase in its user base. Number of first time users for Collegedunia.com took a multifold leap from 15000 per month to 1200000 per month. These numbers speak a lot about the company's growing market share.

Presently their only source of revenue is advertisement but they are planning to move for user payments with an online marketplace for preparation material. The company has successfully launched its Mobile App on Android owning to high mobile traffic.

Sahil Chalana is the founder of collegedunia.com. He completed his MSc (Tech) Information Systems from BITS Pilani, one of the premier technological institutes in the country. He went onto become a co-founder in zoutons.com, 3.14 digital, rocketstores.in before setting up collegedunia.com.
