How and why did you decide to create it? How does it sit within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of India today?
I felt that there is a big gap in the area of process improvements, whether it is corporate or startups. I wanted to share my knowledge and experience in improving the process of the organizations whatever stage they are to enable them to provide better product and service to their clients and achieve the maximum growth possible.
Entrepreneurs get to know about sales, funding but very rarely see the focus on the management and delivery. Hence, Portfolio, Program, Project Management, Service Management, Agile, DevOps are necessary for organizations today not only to grow but to also survive.
What problem does your company solve and how are you different from others in the field?
While the realm of Management Consulting is vast and a number of firms provide a range of advisory services – starting from niche areas to general management domains – what differentiates us is our practitioner’s approach where we don’t limit ourselves only to advisory and rather prefer to stay on till envisaged benefits are realized and final outcomes are delivered. We bring in huge experience across industry verticals and geographies which make us confident enough to put our neck into the stake when it comes to achieving envisaged benefits and values.
Who is the company’s ideal customer and how does the company currently approach them?
Any corporate both in IT and non-IT organization are our customers who is into product development or any service. However, IT organizations are more relevant. Startups are also good candidates as they need to focus on delivery too. Only Sales and Funding will not do.
How did the company get to where it is today?
We directly connected to contacts that I knew and also through LinkedIn. We have also created partnership with various organizations for marketing and sales. Personal connect, cold calling and LinkedIn are our tools along with alliance with various partners.
Can you tell me more about the founding of the company and what the problem is that you were addressing?
I left my job and started Xellentro in August 2012. It is my wife and myself as partners and formed an LLP. We wanted to make sure we have proper legal entity.
The biggest challenge was hiring and then sales. Even though we can manage the sales, hiring is still big challenge.
Is hiring a challenge for a startup?
Hiring has been a challenge for start-ups. It is always good to hire a person who is already familiar with mission, values and work culture of the other organization always benefit a business if the prospective candidate is positively influenced by the information he or she is equipped with. But instead of these, most of the candidates expect more than the capability of any startup in term of salary, infrastructure and perks.
Startups need people with the passion, capability and a killer attitude.

How do you describe your culture?
We are an open organization and people are empowered to do their work within the expectations set. We work in a team and there is no hierarchy.
Where do you want to company to be in 3 years?
We see ourselves to be seen as the best in the area of service globally.
How did you create the vision?
That has come to me based on my experience, knowledge and as I see that the area of my operation has a lot of scope of improvement for corporate and startups. This area is not given its due importance.
Do you think that the company will ever need outside investors?
Fund will be definitely helpful. We are now in a stage where we are ready to grow exponentially and Investor Fund will be helpful.

Niladri has 27 years of IT consulting and training experience across a range of verticals and technology. He has strong experience in managing large global projects and programs setting up from scratch various practices for BI/DW, Project Portfolio Management, etc.
He has been providing training and consulting to large organizations across the world on Project Management, Portfolio Management, Agile, DevOps, IT Service Management, etc.
He is the first person to be DevOps Test Engineer Certified and Accredited by DevOps Institute in India and second in the world.
He is also accredited by G2G3 for their DevOps Simulation.
