India, the world's largest democracy, is buzzing with anticipation as it embarks on the journey of general elections from April 19 to June 1, 2024. Spread across seven phases, these elections seek to elect 543 members to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament. The nation eagerly awaits the announcement of results on June 4th, 2024.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking a third consecutive term, holds high expectations for victory in the upcoming elections. 

Below is the detailed schedule of phase-wise elections:

Phase 1 Schedule for Lok Sabha Elections

The Phase 1 elections are scheduled to be held on April 19, 2024, across 21 states, encompassing a total of 102 seats. The schedule is as follows:

  • Arunachal Pradesh: Arunachal West, Arunachal East

  • Assam: Sonitpur, Kaziranga, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur

  • Bihar: Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui

  • Jammu & Kashmir: Udhampur

In phase 2, voting will take place across 89 constituencies in 13 states on April 26, 2024.  The schedule is as follows:

  • Bihar: Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Banka

  • Jammu & Kashmir: Jammu
