MELDOC- A SPECIALIZED SOLUTION FOR DOCTORS, STREAMLINING THE DAILY HURDLES

Technology has always been the driving force behind healthcare advances. From the invention of stethoscopes in 1815 to AI-based healthcare solutions, it has brought great innovations.

But in the last few years, the explosion of medical technology has quickly advanced healthcare in some miraculous ways.

Providing a paradigm to make a medical professional's life easier, MELDOC is the first of its kind of multi-purpose application that works only for health care needs.

It is a "doctors only"platform that helps them in all ways from renewing their insurance policies or keeping track of their CME points or even tracking and buying conference tickets.

It provides detailed analytics on what's in demand and what the specialist should work on to meet the needs of the market.

This Bangalore-based start-up MELDOC was initiated in 2018 and has progressed exponentially in a short time and now has become a trusted name in the industry.

The brainchild of Rajesh Naidu is an amazing platform supporting doctors around the world by making their life easier and better. They offer end-to-end reliable services impacting the life of a huge number of medical professionals across India.

THE MAN WHO FORMED THE VISION

Experienced Associated Professor with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry,  Rajesh Naidu always has the vision to transform and make life simple in the health sector through technology and he made his dream come true with MELDOC.

After its inception, Rajesh'sextensive years of experience and medical knowledge supported the MELDOC to reach where it is today.

Rajesh is highly passionate and dedicated to what he does. He is skilled in business planning, Team Building, and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Management, and Orthopaedic Surgery.

He holds an M.S. in orthopedic surgery focused on complicated Trauma, Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy, and spine from the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center.

INCEPTION STORY

"Back in 2016, when Rajesh was working, he messed up with his work-life balance a lot. He was not able to find the number of cases. Another problem was related to the recording of payment details daily like which hospital is generating more revenue and many more.

He says, "I was wasting a lot of time on unnecessary stuff. I could not renew my life insurance for two years and health insurance for three years. I was missing a lot of external work related to my hospital."

Further, he shares an incident, "Once, one of my colleagues went to a conference, and he said there I have already done this study. They asked him to show the document.

The doctor was not having the document with him. He said it is at home, and he started searching his Gmail and all. Many people do cases, and approaches like this, but they should have evidence otherwise they did nothing.

One case holds a huge number of photographs that doctors save in their gallery but it is not possible to present them in a single moment."

In India, we have a variety of data than developed countries but, we are not able to showcase the techniques and talent to the world. Because we don't have a place to aggregate them in a streamlined manner.

Besides, in India, doctors have to see hundreds of patients in a day while in Western and other developed countries, doctors see 10 patients in a day. There, doctors have time to do journals and papers.

And, they have an already organized structure where they can store their research in one place, reattribute them and use it for future presentations.

In this way, western countries are doing a lot of journals and papers and we are following their techniques. Although in India, doctors are doing more data, they are not able to showcase them to the world. This is a big challenge for Indian doctors.

The concept of MELDOC is based on a networking system only for doctors across the globe. Where they can share their clinical data, ask for new studies, stay aware of the latest innovations in the global market, and can provide medical advice in remote locations.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MELDOC APP

The ultimate goal of MELDOC is to support the doctor. Here is the list of how it does so:

Streamline both doctors' homes and work lives

Schedule new and follow-up patients precisely

Carve more time from their busy schedule each day

    Increase the efficiency with planning

Save time and effort by being superorganized

    Improve the clinical decision making

This way, the app is making the life of a doctor much more stress-free.

INFUSING TECHNOLOGY

MELDOC is purely a technology-based product and the biggest innovation in the company is the 24*7 personal assistant facility where you can access all your day-to-day tasks and reports anywhere, anytime.

TARGET MARKET

India has 10.2 Lakh Registered Physicians. So Allopathic Physicians has a total addressable market of 10L, of which the practically serviceable market is 5L, and MELDOC is aiming to obtain 3L by 2022.

A GLIMPSE OF THE INDUSTRY

Driven by the need for better customer experience, the medical Industry, or the healthcare industry as a whole, has transformed itself a lot in the past decade. And just like any other industry, digital transformations are bringing a new shift in the industry.

INITIATIVE BY GOVERNMENT

Rajesh explains, "The doctor to Patient ratio in India is almost 1300: 1 in India, and the Country can add a maximum of 67218 doctors through 479 institutes per year.

What the government can do here is target the 1000: 1 patient-to-doctor ratio initially. If you look at other developed countries, their ratios are USA 2.55:1000, Russia: 3.31:1000 and Germany 4.12:1000 and China 1.49:1000."

MAINTAINING THE STATUS OF 'THE BEST BRAND'

  • Uniqueness

  • Business Model

  • Passionate Team

  • Constant Learning & Improvement

RATING ON QUALITY SCALE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OUT OF 10

This time MELDOC is at 8 now but the aim for sure will be 10/10 for which they are striving to upgrade their offerings and user experience from time to time.

CORPORATE ETHOS

The core management team of MELDOC is a bunch of friends so they already have a very well established friendly culture in their office. And going forward, they do everything possible to ensure the same high energy levels and friendliness during the team expansion.

ROAD AHEAD

After getting established in India, MELDOC is on the way to exploring the market on a global level. Because in the Western course, things are automotive, the needs of India and Western countries are different. They are planning to provide service according to the location and fully customized.

MELDOCis clearly the work of passion. It is created by the doctors for the doctors. Theultimate goal of creating this application is to let doctors save their timeand utilize it towards the evolution of healthcare.
