BASIX Academy For Building Lifelong Employability Limited (B-ABLE)

In the early years of the 21st century, a large part of India's working-age population was unable to productively engage with sectors identified to drive the nation's future growth. The reason? Lack of market-relevant skills.

With a focus on market-driven, learner-centric, and aspiration-based vocational training, BASIX Academy For Building Lifelong Employability Limited (B-ABLE) came up as an initiative set up by the BASIX group in 2009.

Aimed to promote sustainable livelihoods for all, B- ABLE is a pioneer brand offering key skill development and vocational training solutions in India. B-ABLE, the first training partner of the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC), has established a unique place in the industry.

A team of 1,500+ dedicated professionals is aligned with the vision of 'Skilling People, Enhancing Livelihoods, TransformingLives'.

DEMAND FOR CORPORATE TRAINERS IN INDIA

"There is an implicit demand for many corporate training entities in India, given the huge gap between the demand and supply of skilled manpower in the country.

However, I believe, the demand is not explicit as most of the skill budgets are borne by the Government of India and offer free courses through various schemes." shared Mr. D Sattaiah on the current scenario of demand for corporate trainers in India

B-ABLE trains workers to be engaged and accountable in their job roles. It is crafting solutions based on market demand. B-ABLE envisions that with an increase in innovation in this sector, the demand for corporate training will increase.

 STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

B-ABLE has been deploying efforts to stay connected with civil society and the corporate sector through seminars and conferences. Has been working to update its stakeholders through social media and has a strong ground presence which helps in reaching its target audience.

TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN TRANSFORMATION

The industry, after a decade of effort by the Indian government and NSDC, is at a critical juncture where skill building is mostly dependent on Government support while the industry is finding it difficult to attract private capital.

In such a scenario, the B-ABLE's team of experts has been using technology as a pillar to innovate and upgrade methodologies and practices.

It is building a new generation of the enabled workforce for corporates through innovation and technological intervention. Regarding the entrepreneurial opportunities in the industry, B-ABLE hopes to see the emergence of user-pay sustainable models.

HICCUPS ON THE WAY
