Shweta Deshmukh- Co-founder
An Architect & Interior Designer by profession, Shweta is the leading lady of Dezinebox. She has dreamer's eyes to eloquent stories through attractive design and a creative mind.
She completed her Architecture from Nagpur& Project Management from Nicmar Pune. She holds 18 years of wonderful experience and worked on a wide assortment of Architectural and Interior projects like weekend homes, multiplexes & malls, farmhouses, luxury residences, commercial spaces, hotels, restaurants, coworking & Incubationhubs, etc.
Because of her skills and talent, Shweta has been conferred with numerous awards. She is a jury for ACE tech design Walls and GrandStand Awards for consecutive 4 years.
Abhijeet V Deshmukh is another guiding force of the company. He is an ex Investment Banker with over a decade of experience in the Treasury and Risk domain. In 2015, he left his banking career and became a faculty for Management Colleges.
Currently, he is a faculty member at the Amity Business School & visiting faculty with NMIMS, ITM & Chetna College in Mumbai. Abhijeet did an MBA and is a Certified Treasury Manager who is pursuing a Ph.D.
In his entrepreneurial career, Abhijeet founded many ventures like 'Monday Mantras' – a weekly knowledge capsule, and 'Start-up Navi Mumbai', an initiative to raise the profile of Navi Mumbai. In 2017, he joined hands with his wife, Shweta Deshmukh, and established 'Dezinebox'.
"Becoming an Architect is my dream come true! I had designed an office for our architectural firm with my friend when we were in 10th std. I am a very intense person, and architecture multiplies that intensity when I create something, whether it's a small café interior or a grand master plan," Shweta shares.
Further, Abhijeet adds, "Interior design has always been related to Luxury. A lot of people can't afford the designer due to high fees & geography barriers.
We, with our sensibility and sensitivity, felt that everyone has a right to have a beautiful space irrespective of their budget and location. So we thought the best way to reach out to them is Online– i.e. riding the wave of technology."
Entrepreneurship is an emotional rollercoaster ride. It every day makes you, breaks you, pulls you, pushes you, takes you higher buries you down, but it keeps you moving ahead hour-by-hour &day-by-day.
"Starting something disruptive like online design was full of challenges. We took almost a year to build the framework of it and then the website of it.
Suddenly one day during our YCombinator Startup School graduation, we realized we missed it all, and then dismantled the same framework putting water on our year-long struggle.
I remember we build our new strategy, structure, and website in the next ten days, "Abhijeet V Deshmukh shares.
"It is an enriching experience to speak to almost 5000+ customers to date situated at every nook and corner of our country. We iterated our offerings, pricing, strategy, and model and will continue to modify it in the future as well. We feel that the beauty of entrepreneurship & Overall, it's an incredible journey so far," adds Shweta Deshmukh.

RecentlyDezinebox has completed an incubation hub of 35000 sq ft for a Government agency. A weekend home of 7 acres is also under the approval stage. They are working on lavish farmhouses of 7000 sq ft & luxury apartments of 3000 sqft.

As an architectural professional, Shweta Deshmukh is highly inspired by architects like Frank Gehry and deeply influenced by the works of Geoffrey Bawa and Lauri Baker. But she derives her inspiration from nature and its offerings & advocates sustainability in her designs.

Shweta Deshmukh was conferred with an"Excellent Women of Excellence "Award in 2017 by Women Economic Forum andArchid Award as a "Young Designer & Architect" by Fortune Streets.
In 2017, she was invited to WADE, Asia, to introduce Dezinebox as an 'Architect bringing IT platform in Design'.
The biggest achievement was made whenDezinebox received "The Most Innovative Firm of the Year 2019" in June 2019.
Dezineboxis was sought after by the elite-clientage in India and is now gaining recognition around the world. The team has did a couple of projects in Dubai, and they feel their work will be welcomed by the NRI communities across geographies to start with.
"Though our field is all about Creativityyet, we strongly feel there is no substitute for hard work and sincerity. We also believe adding value to the customer will always be a mantra for success in our and any other profession", asserts Abhijeet.
